About us

A NEW STANDARD OF TRUST IN AVIATION.

Our Approach

Aviation has evolved. The way we protect its history should too.

a new approach to aircraft record management.

DECET AVARIS was created around a simple belief: information as important as an aircraft’s maintenance history should be secure, verifiable, accessible, and built to last.

Every aircraft carries a history. Maintenance completed. Components replaced. Inspections performed. Airworthiness requirements met. Each record contributes to the story of that aircraft and provides vital evidence of how it has been maintained throughout its life.

Yet much of this critical information still depends on paper logbooks, spreadsheets, PDFs, and records held across different systems and locations.

We believe aviation deserves better.

DECET AVARIS is creating a new approach to aircraft record management, one designed around trust, security, accountability, and the realities of modern aviation.

Where it began

The idea didn't begin with technology. It began with experience.

The Experience

DECET AVARIS was born from direct exposure to aircraft transactions and maintenance verification within the South African and international aviation markets.

Through experience in aircraft brokerage, one problem appeared repeatedly.

The Problem

Some of the most valuable information associated with an aircraft was also some of the most vulnerable.

Physical logbooks can be lost or damaged. Records can become fragmented between owners, operators, and maintenance organisations. Spreadsheets and PDFs can exist in multiple versions. Missing documentation can lead to lengthy verification processes, while inconsistent records can create uncertainty around an aircraft’s maintenance history.

The Question

How can an industry built around safety, precision, and accountability still rely on such a fragile way of protecting some of its most important information?

DECET AVARIS was created to provide an answer.

Not simply by taking the traditional aircraft logbook and putting it online, but by fundamentally rethinking how aircraft maintenance information can be recorded, protected, accessed, and verified.

Why we exist

An aircraft is only as trustworthy as the history behind it.

Aircraft maintenance records are far more than administrative paperwork. They provide evidence of what has been done to an aircraft, when it was done, which components have been affected, and how its continuing airworthiness has been maintained.

When those records are incomplete, fragmented, or difficult to verify, the consequences can extend far beyond inconvenience.

Unreliable records can increase operational and regulatory risk, complicate aircraft transactions, increase the time and cost associated with verification, and affect confidence in an aircraft’s value.

DECET AVARIS exists to create greater certainty.

We are building a secure digital environment where aircraft maintenance and compliance information can become part of a structured, persistent, and verifiable history.

Secure

Structured

Persistent

Verifiable

Because information this important should never depend on whether someone can find the right piece of paper.

The Technology Behind the Trust

Secure by design. Permissioned by purpose.

Behind DECET AVARIS is a permissioned distributed ledger, secure digital record-keeping technology designed to protect the integrity of every verified entry made to an aircraft’s history.

Unlike conventional record systems where information may be overwritten or retrospectively altered, a distributed ledger creates a permanent, time-stamped record of activity. Once verified information is committed to the record, its history is preserved, creating an auditable trail and making retrospective manipulation significantly more difficult.

And importantly, permissioned does not mean public.

DECET AVARIS is designed around controlled, role-based access. Authorised users are granted permissions appropriate to their role and scope, helping ensure sensitive aircraft information is available to the people who need it without simply being exposed to everyone.

The technology behind the platform may be sophisticated. Its purpose is remarkably simple: To make aircraft records easier to trust.

One persistent record

Built Around Integrity

Permanent by Design

Verified records become part of a protected, time-stamped history, preserving an audit trail of activity rather than allowing the past to simply be rewritten. The maintenance action is logged against the relevant aircraft and component.

Controlled Access

Different users have different responsibilities. DECET AVARIS is designed around role-based permissions so authorised stakeholders access information relevant to their approved scope.

Verifiable History

Maintenance events contribute to a structured aircraft history, creating greater visibility into what has been recorded throughout the aircraft’s lifecycle.

One Source of Truth

Instead of relying on disconnected files and multiple versions of the same information, DECET AVARIS is designed to bring critical aircraft history together around one persistent aircraft record.

We're not simply digitising the old way of doing things.

This Isn't a Digital Filing Cabinet.

Putting a PDF online does not solve the underlying problem. Scanning a logbook does not make its information inherently more trustworthy. And moving a spreadsheet into the cloud does not necessarily create a permanent, verifiable aircraft history.

DECET AVARIS takes a different approach.

The platform is designed to structure information from the point at which it is recorded, connecting maintenance events, aircraft and component information, and compliance records to a persistent digital aircraft identity.

This creates something far more valuable than a collection of electronic documents. It creates a living aircraft history.

One that can grow with the aircraft throughout its lifecycle and provide a stronger foundation for verification, compliance, decision-making, and future intelligence.

We aren’t simply digitising aviation’s past. We’re building infrastructure for its future.

Built around trust

Built for Aviation

Aviation isn't generic. Neither are we.

DECET AVARIS has been developed specifically for the requirements, responsibilities, and complexities of the aviation industry.

The platform’s initial development is centred around South African civil aviation and SACAA/ICAO requirements, with a roadmap designed to support expansion into additional African and international regulatory environments.

From Approved Maintenance Organisations and Aircraft Maintenance Engineers to aircraft owners, operators, regulators, buyers, and other authorised stakeholders, DECET AVARIS is designed around an ecosystem in which different parties need different information, while all relying on the integrity of the underlying aircraft history.

That means considering more than storage. It means considering access, accountability, traceability, compliance, verification, and the long operational life of the aircraft itself.

Built around aviation.
Built around the aircraft.
Built around trust.

The History Stays With the Aircraft

Aircraft move.

They change operators. They undergo maintenance at different organisations. They may be sold, leased, exported, imported, or transferred between jurisdictions.

But through every change, one thing remains critically important: Their history.

DECET AVARIS is designed around a persistent aircraft identity, allowing its maintenance and compliance history to remain connected to the aircraft throughout its lifecycle.

Rather than rebuilding that picture every time an aircraft changes hands, the vision is to create continuity.

A history that can be accessed by authorised stakeholders.

A history that can be verified.

A history that does not disappear simply because the aircraft has moved.

Where the aircraft goes, its trusted history follows.

From Compliance to Intelligence

It starts with a record. It becomes intelligence.

The first priority for DECET AVARIS is clear: create a more secure, structured, and trustworthy way to manage aircraft maintenance and compliance records.

But that is only the beginning.

When aircraft information is structured consistently from the outset, it creates a foundation from which much more can become possible.

Over time, structured aircraft data can support advanced analytics and future predictive maintenance intelligence, helping transform historical records from something that is simply stored into information that can contribute to better aircraft management.

Our vision extends beyond replacing paper.

It is an aviation environment where trusted information can support better visibility, stronger decision-making, and increasingly intelligent maintenance practices.

We start with compliance. We scale into intelligence.

Our Vision

We see a future where questioning the authenticity or completeness of an aircraft’s maintenance history is no longer accepted as simply part of doing business.

A future where critical aircraft information is protected from the moment it is recorded.

Where authorised stakeholders can access the information they need without searching through boxes, files, spreadsheets, and disconnected systems.

Where an aircraft can move between owners, operators, maintenance organisations, and markets without losing the continuity of the history behind it.

And where the records being created today become the foundation for the aviation intelligence of tomorrow.

That is the future DECET AVARIS has been built for.

Secure. Verifiable. Accessible. Built for aviation.
